AusGeo News is published by Geoscience Australia. Each issue comprises a couple of geoscience-related features, brief articles about Geoscience Australia's research and initiatives, news about geoscience products and spatial data, and a calendar of coming seminars and conferences.
Australian Weeds Committee Newsletter
The Australian Weeds Committee was established to provide an inter-governmental mechanism for the identification and resolution of weed issues at a national level in Australia. The committee publishes a periodic newsletter on national weed policy and management issues at approximately 2-3 month intervals, or as information becomes available.
Bush
Bush is published by Rural Press Magazines in association with the Department of the Environment and Water Resources supported by funding from the Natural Heritage Trust. It provides information on native vegetation management on farms including best practice management and research findings.
Communities for Communities
This is a quarterly web-based newsletter providing information about ecological communities and other matters of National Environmental Significance listed under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. This newsletter is specifically aimed at community groups and natural resource management bodies and contains information and pictures that they can use for their own publications.
Discovery
The Australian Research Council's Discovery newsletter is published quarterly and provides an overview of ARC activities. ARC Discovery is available in paper copy free of charge while stocks last. Requests for hardcopies should be made to: publications@arc.gov.au.
E-clips
E-clips is the Bureau of Rural Sciences' quarterly e-newsletter, providing information on the latest technical and scientific developments made by the Bureau on a range of key issues affecting rural and regional industries.
EnviroInfo
EnviroInfo is a free email newsletter for people involved in the natural resources and environment management fields. It covers general news and provides information on workshops, courses, seminars, funding, and upcoming events.
Environment News
This is a weekly electronic newsletter published by the Department of the Environment and Water Resources and featuring the latest announcements, publications and summary of events that are of interest to environmental stakeholders.
Feral Herald
The Invasive Species Council, a recently incorporated non-government organisation that covers all invasive animal and plant pests, publishes the Feral Herald . It aims to provide a community voice on invasive species, focusing on awareness raising, campaigning and lobbying activities.
Forestlinks
Forestlinks is a bi-monthly e-newsletter produced by the Forest Industries Branch of the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. It provides stories and information of interest on Australia's forests and forest policy.
Indigenous Protected Areas Newsletter
This newsletter provides updates on the development of the Indigenous Protected Areas network across Australia and activities associated with their management.
Innovate Australia
The Innovate Australia e-zine is produced for Australia's 13 food, fibre and natural resources Research and Development Corporations. Innovate Australia details rural Research and Development success stories, and provides readers with access to a range of related material and links to various Research and Development organisations. It provides news articles on a wide range of issues and is delivered by email, or can be accessed via the web site.
IPMnet News
The Consortium for International Crop Protection produces a monthly newsletter on integrated pest management. This newsletter includes brief reviews of research, notices of upcoming meetings, and views on integrated pest management. While there is a focus on pest management in production systems, the newsletter also includes contributions on management of natural systems (including the use of biocontrol agents). Contributions are received from all continents including Australia.
Murray-Darling Basin Commission E-letter
This electronic newsletter provides monthly updates on activities across the Basin. You can subscibe online and public contributions are solicited.
Natural Heritage
Natural Heritage is published by the Department of the Environment and Water Resources and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. It provides information on projects supported by funding from the Natural Heritage Trust and the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality.
Partners in Research for Development
The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research encourages Australia's agricultural scientists to use their skills for the benefit of developing countries and Australia. The Partners in Research for Development Magazine, reports on people who helped them achieve their goals and those who benefit from better policies, increased productivity and more sustainable agriculture. Each edition posted on the web site, spotlights activities in a country or region, and presents stories grouped thematically around specific agricultural issues.
Salt
This newsletter is now a joint publication of the CRC for Plant-based Management of Dryland Salinity, Meat and Livestock Australia and Australian Wool Innovations Ltd. It provides stories on successful efforts by people managing dryland salinity on their own land and information on new tools and approaches. It was formerly a product of the National Dryland Salinity Program.
SeaNet News
This newsletter highlights the activities of the SeaNet Extension Officers, reports on projects undertaken and opportunities for fisheries researchers and commercial fishers to cooperate on improvements to current fishing and management practices and protect Australia's marine habitats and fisheries resources.
The Bridal Creeper
This is the newsletter of the national asparagus weed management committee. It seeks to ensure that best practice information is shared amongst all groups involved in controlling bridal creeper and other Asparagus weeds.

The Aquafin Cooperative Research Centre is a research and education provider for the sustainable aquaculture of finfish in Australia. The main research emphasis is on Atlantic Salmon and Southern Bluefin Tuna.
CAPACITenewsletter
An electronic newsletter produced by the Cooperative Venture in Capacity Building in Rural Australia to keep interested parties up to date on developments in research and development related to enhancing the understanding of learning, improving organisational arrangements to support rural human capacity building, and inspiring innovative farming practices.
Catchword
Catchword is the CRC for Catchment Hydrology newsletter for those with an interest in better land and water management. The newsletter includes regular updates on research and support programs, gives details about forthcoming workshops and seminars, and also includes information on new publications and videos produced by the Centre.
CRC Reef News
Published by the Cooperative Research Centre for the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, this newsletter provides information on the research activities of the CRC.

Fishing and Fisheries Newsletter

Flotsam and Jetsam
The Coastal CRC provides updates on coastal research, management, publications, training and events with contributions from Coastal CRC professionals and other organisations through this free e-newsletter.
Focus on Salt
This newsletter is a joint publication of the CRC for Plant-based Management of Dryland Salinity and the CRC Landscape Environments and Mineral Exploration. It provides quarterly technical updates on research and development activities conducted by the partner bodies.
Forest Matters
This is a high quality glossy newsletter that was published by CRC for Tropical Rainforest Ecology and Management available in hard copy or online. It is aimed at internal and external stakeholders.
Health Stream
The Cooperative Research Centre for Water Quality and Treatment provides information on public health and water quality matters through this newsletter. You can down load current and past issues. The web site provides a searchable archive of Health Stream articles, news items and literature summaries.
Reef Research
Reef Research was a quarterly newsletter published by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. Includes Reef Management News. Last issue posted December 2000. Past issues can be downloaded from the web site.
RipRap
This newsletter is produced by Land and Water Australia to provide policy makers, catchment groups and landholders information on developments in riparian zone management including new research, products and case studies.
RIRDC newsletters

SEA News
SEA News is an online newsletter on bioeconomic and social research on sustainability and economics in agriculture produced by the CRC for Plant-based Management of Dryland Salinity. SEA News contains unpublished and working papers that focus on a wide range of sustainability and economic issues for agriculture. Issues covered include salinity, market-based instruments, adoption of innovations, greenhouse, ethics, policy and more.
Thinking Bush
The native vegetation program of Land and Water Australia produces this occasional magazine to provide policy makers, land managers and catchment groups information on science relevant to managing native vegetation.
Water for a Healthy Country UPDATE
Water for a Healthy Country is a National Research Flagship established in 2003 by CSIRO. The Flagship brings together a range of research agencies to deliver research that will help Australia address water management issues in both urban and rural environments. The Water for a Healthy Country UPDATE details research outcomes and is of relevance to land and water managers and policy makers.
Watershed
E-magazine produced by the Cooperative Research Centre for Freshwater Ecology The newsletters provide review articles, summaries of research and information on workshops and courses conducted by the CRC.
Weed Watch
The Cooperative Research Centre for Australian Weed Management publishes this newsletter three times per year. Weed Watch provides progress reports on current projects along with contact details for project officers as well as information on a wide range of weed management issues.
