About this document
This report outlines the findings of a national evaluation of the biological diversity outcomes of the regional investment model funded through the national Natural Heritage Trust and National Action Plan programs (NHT2/NAP) and associated matching funds.
The evaluation examined the processes and results for setting biodiversity objectives and targets, their consistency with national instruments, their interaction with the range of stakeholders involved in the management of biodiversity, and progress towards meeting targets.
An analysis of the results of a Rapid Appraisal of all accredited regions and a detailed examination of 16 selected case study regions are summarised in the report.
