What is the Regional Programs Report?

The 2004-05 Regional Programs Report represents the combined progress report to the Natural Resource Management Ministerial Council on the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality (NAP) and the regional component of the Natural Heritage Trust (the Trust).

What does the report show?

It summarises the remarkable developments occurring through the delivery of the NAP and the regional component of the Trust across Australia's 56 natural resource management regions.

What's new in 2004-05?

This year we have added reporting on the progress of achieving regional targets. In Tasmania and the Northern Territory, we have also trialled sub-regional reporting of activities.

What sort of information is available?

Expenditure information for investments, and the delivered outputs achieved by investments in each of the 56 natural resource management regions is available in the Regional Summaries.

This sort of expenditure and output information is also available for each of the 10 resource condition issues in Chapters 3 to 12.

Information is also provided on the progress towards achieving regional targets, both management action targets (MATs) and resource condition targets (RCTs).
