Projects funded by regional base-level funding

$711 million over 5 years is being provided to 56 regional organisations to help them address Caring for our Country targets and to support community partnerships. This helps regions manage projects and provide grants to community groups and landholders.

• Conserving dugongs and marine turtles in the Torres Strait

  A collaborative approach to improving land protection outcomes for erosion prone soils on Eyre Peninsula
• Picking up the remnants
  Regional investment provided to the Murray Catchment Management Authority in remnant vegetation maintenance and improvement in the NSW Murray catchment
• Protecting native vegetation through planning and on-ground works
