Australian Capital Territory Joint Steering Committee
A Steering Committee has been established to oversee the delivery of the NHT in the Australian Capital Territory.
Role
The role of the Steering Committee includes:
- Endorsing the regional body's approach to preparing and implementing its integrated NRM regional plan.
- Arrangements during the interim period.
- Assisting the regional body in developing a regional investment strategy.
- Considering the integrated NRM regional plan and making recommendations to Australian Government and ACT Ministers on its accreditation.
- Recommending three-year NHT investment program to Australian Government and ACT Ministers.
- Approving release of funds to proponents in accordance with Ministerial funding approvals.
- Submitting an annual review of the investment program.
- Overseeing the development of a NRM communication plan for the NHT in the ACT
