Under the Environmental Stewardship Program, the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board is receiving $1 million over two years to provide grants to land managers who have eligible swamps on their land and who want to manage their swamps for conservation benefits. This funding will help private land managers better manage their swamps by providing funding for activities such as fencing to improve stock grazing management, installing water points away from the swamps, managing weeds, and improving connectivity between individual swamps.
Land managers willing to commit to long term protection of their swamps by entering into a Heritage Agreement will be prioritised for funding.
