Managing data

All data and information collected during natural resource management (NRM) projects needs to be managed to ensure a completed project has achieved its aims, and to report results accurately. It is important that data generated by projects become part of the national resource base and be made available to the broader community.

There are three components for the appropriate management of data. These include:

The Natural Resource Information Management Toolkit , developed by the National Land and Water Resources Audit, is designed to help NRM groups discover, access, visualise and manage their data and information.
