| Australian Capital Territory | The ACT region contains a variety of landscapes including vegetation communities listed as endangered, namely box-gum grassy woodlands, natural temperate grasslands and sub-alpine sphagnum bogs. The urban population and its peri-urban expansion is responsible for a number of threatening processes including invasive pests and weeds and changing land use practices. The investments in the ACT include increasing connectivity, resilience & biodiversity across natural temperate grasslands and box-gum woodlands, reducing critical threats and increasing resilience of sphagnum bogs and associated threatened species and increasing sustainable farm practices through training and awareness raising, whilst continuing to build community skills, knowledge as well as engaging new audiences, increasing membership to NRM organisations and volunteering efforts. | $2,718,000 (over 2 years) |
