The table below lists the base level funding for regional NRM organisations within each state. Each state and territory also received funding through the Business plan 2009-10 competitive process.

Northern Territory

The Northern Territory Region's base level project proposes to fund the following:

  • Coastcare programs, including on the Tiwi Islands that will increase community management of coastal areas.
  • coordination of landcare activity across four pastoral landcare groups, particularly reducing the impact and spread of Weeds of National Significance.
  • further development of partnerships with Indigenous communities ensuring the use of Indigenous traditional knowledge
  • Weed control in the Daly-Reynolds Floodplain-estuary System; fencing of biological refugia Central Australian Rock holes from camels.
  • local grants of less than $20,000 each and less than $50,000 each to deliver on Caring for our Country targets
